What Clients are Saying
"I was hesitant to try counseling, but I am so glad I did! It has truly been the most eye-opening experience. After sessions with Mary Kathryn, I feel valued and understood. She is the perfect balance of professional and relational. I am most impressed by her genuine commitment to my personal growth and healing."
"Mary Kathryn gently guided me through EMDR, a process that has brought healing and new perspective to negative emotions surrounding distressing memories. Throughout this process, she has provided resources that have led to continued healing outside of counseling."
"I have learned so much, including that it is okay to have many varying feelings about the same person or event. I have learned my emotional response is trying to tell me something important, and I am learning how to listen to myself."
"Mary Kathryn is so patient and kind. She emanates a very peaceful energy and is very accepting, but I appreciate that she also challenges me when I need it and isn't afraid to do that."
"I have learned how to live a much more conscious life. I pay so much more attention to my thoughts and how I am truly feeling, and I am learning to honor that. Counseling has helped me reconnect with myself and feel hopeful about what my future looks like, rather than trapped and afraid. There are a lot of things we carry in life that are uncomfortable or even painful, and I'm learning to accept those things and work through them, rather than shoulder it all."
"I came to counseling thinking I simply wanted to recover from my eating disorder. What I didn't realize was that it was going to be so much more than that. It has reshaped the way I look at myself and treat my body, helped me find the strength to set boundaries with myself and others, and given me a safe place to explore the more painful and challenging parts of life. Mary Kathryn is there every step with wisdom and godly encouragement."
